Abstract
The work Fire Station is a multimedia work based on material at the Canberra Fire Museum. Its presented as a digital video loop, but not as a conventional narrative. Instead, the work uses layers of images and sounds to evoke something of the experiences of our firefighters during a hundred years in Canberraa few hints of their sporadic dramas; some suggestion of their daily routines and accumulated memories. Fire Station is an HD (1080p) digital image sequence constructed by Tim Brook and an original soundtrack composed and produced by Arne Hanna.
