Abstract
The reactions of [RuCl2(=CHPh)(PCy3)2] or [RuHCl(=-H2)(PCy3)2] with the N-heterocyclic silylene:Si(NtBuCH)2 (ISitBu) affords the coordinatively unsaturated silylene complex [RuHCl(ISitBu)(PCy 3)2]. For comparative purposes, the corresponding complex [RuHCl(IiPr)(PCy3)2] (IiPr =:C(NiPrCH)2) was obtained from [RuHCl(ν-H 2)(PCy3)2] and IiPr.
