Abstract

At a time when sexual and reproductive rights are particularly challenged, focusing on positive changes achieved in the past in highly polarised contexts with deep-rooted biases can both guide and inspire us. This chapter uses examples from India and Mozambique to identify how approaching change through a practical justice lens and its commitment to sound evidence, good normative argument and the best mechanisms for achieving change within a particular context can accelerate success within the field of sexual and reproductive health and rights despite the challenges that may be faced.
