    Abstract

This concert was organised by the Honorary Consul of the Federal Republic of Germany to commemorate thirty years of the falling of the Berlin Wall. Flautist Sally Walker was invited to perform as soloist as she had lived and worked in both East and West Germany; a demarcation that now almost a generation has grown up without having an experience of. The program named Sally Walker an ambassador of the Australian-German relationship and curated a program of works by JS Bach, WA Mozart. W Gluck, GF Telemann as well as Australian Elena Kats-Chernin (who had, like Sally lived in Germany for ten years and had the same DAAD scholarship). She was joined by the Brisbane based Adina String Quartet.
