Abstract
The late Gideon Arudali was a talented graphic artist, from Eratap on the island of Efate. He worked mostly in pen and ink and was well known for his custom designs on surfboards. In the Niu Yam Fellowship Gideon created 12 intricate black and white drawings and two colour paintings inspired by aspects of traditional knowledge in Vanuatu and their links to resilience.
