Abstract
ran is on a collision course with the United States and Israel over Tehran's nuclear program. The current round of talks between Iran and America's three European allies -- Britain, France and Germany -- have not yet yielded results. The Europeans are keen to see a resolution, and the U.S. has joined them in offering Iran a package of economic and technological incentives, including support for Iran's admission to the World Trade Organization. In return, they have demanded Iran make permanent its temporary suspension of uranium enrichment, and forgo any plan to produce nuclear weapons. Tehran has insisted on its right under the Non-Proliferation Treaty to enrich uranium for peaceful purposes.
