Abstract
In his translations of Sir Richard Baker's devotional tracts from Dutch into German, most of which were only published after his death, Gryphius is consistent in finding German terms for loan words along the lines of the "Fruchtbringende Gesellschaft". He avoids extreme purism, but in cases in which there is no established equivalent he searches for solutions of his own.
