Abstract
Gyromagnetic ratios of levels up to 10+ in the ground-state bands and of the 2+ states in the bands of Dy164 and Er168 were measured by the perturbed angular correlation technique utilizing the transient hyperfine field acting at the nuclei of these ions as they swiftly traversed thin polarized Fe foils. The experimental g factors, together with the results of earlier similar studies for Er166, are discussed and compared with several theoretical predictions.
