Abstract

Embracing the art of listening, this contribution will consider hydro-histories, porous presents and(/or) watery wonderings about underwater futures. Sound lends itself to speculative modes of STS knowledge as it allows for a change of sensory perspective and explorations in environments that may only partially be experienced as liveable by humans. Participants will be invited to listen with and speculate about initial immersions of sound stories from water sites in Germany. This contribution considers what listening with water might do as a method of (re)making knowledge about environmental relations.
