Abstract

Odd compounds: The study of bimetallic complexes spanned by linear carbon chains was mainly restricted to even-numbered chains. The fluorodesilylation of silylated propargylidynes now provides a range of C₃-spanned heterobimetallic complexes based on Ru and either Mo or W (e.g. see picture).
