High efficiency harmonic generation in LiNbO3 membranes

    Abstract

    We reveal simultaneous phase- and group-velocity matching for frequency doubling of ultra-short pulses at telecom wavelengths in LiNbO3 membranes. Furthermore, we predict complete phase-matched cascaded third-harmonic generation for optimised membrane thickness.
