    Abstract

The nature of high-temperature phase transitions in natural and synthetic proustite, Ag3AsS3 was studied and compared with its natural counterpart pyrargyrite, Ag3SbS3. It was shown that the high-temperature behavior of proustite was characterized by silver ion mobility within the structure. The X-ray and neutron powder diffraction technique, dielectric spectroscopy, and dynamic mechanical analysis were used to investigate proustite and pyrargyrite structures, as a function of temperature.
