    Abstract

This paper concentrates on four relevant aspects of the syntactic evolution of Spanish. The first section deals with the placement of clitics. The second part examines verbal objects, with particular attention to differential object marking or "a personal" The third section studies subordination, especially the combinations of prepositions and finite clauses. The last section briefly explores changes related to the (re)creation of categories, namely, the development of the articles, the future and the conditional.
