Abstract
In the words of "the first truly American writer", Mark Twain, "history doesn't repeat itself, but it sure does rhyme". The history of American policy toward firearms, however, is more rollercoaster than rhyme. The town of Lexington, Massachusetts, might soon ban semi-automatic weapons capable of holding more than 10 rounds. Ironically, this town is known for just one thing: being the site of the "shot heard around the world" that started the American Revolution
