Abstract
HyperReadings is open source software and a distributed archival infrastructure for writing, sharing, navigating and adapting 'reading lists'. Here, a 'reading' is anything that can be read, this includes texts, images, films, digital and nondigital objects. In an art exhibition context, HyperReadings is experienced as a physical installation and public programming: at 'This Site is Under Revolution', the Moscow Museum of Modern Art becomes a node in the distributed infrastructure, a physical and digital host of HyperReadings, providing both computational resources in support of the broader peer-to-peer network and physical space for collective sharing, reading, writing and ultimately learning together.
