Abstract
This article transposes Bourdieus description of a juridical field to the cognate notion of an advocacy field, which I examine through the case of international lawyers working in Palestine. The discussion combines structural accounts of neoliberal state-building with individual narratives of advocates in Palestine to present a study on the dynamic nature of international legal discourse as grounded practice.
