This article responds to the Special Issue on ‘Networking Hegemony’. It identifies three implications of the key argument made by the special issue editors and raises further questions about the relevant independent and dependent variables, before turning to a set of critical suggestions about using English School tools to study the contemporary East Asian security landscape.
