    Abstract

Structure and stability of nonlinear impurity modes in the discrete nonlinear Schrödinger equation were discussed. The effects of interplay between discreteness, nonlinearity and disorder were also studied. The theoretical and numerical criteria for the transition between different localized states were also discussed.
