    Abstract

    Rare earth doped chalcogenide glasses (ChG) have attracted considerable interest for applications in nonlinear integrated optics and, by virtue of their intrinsically low phonon energies, the potential for mid-IR sources at wavelengths not reachable with other host glasses.
