Abstract

In this paper we shall provide a treatment of intuitionistic fuzzy sets as a tool to analyse, understand and advance our knowledge in the field of medical diagnostics. To illustrate the use of these sets, we here present an example of a medical diagnosis. Our method of diagnosis is uses calculations of normalised Hamming distances between the intuitionistic fuzzy sets as defined by Grzegorzewski.
