    Abstract

Abstract This play is a satire of absurdist theatre. A Brechtian narrator (Wikipedia) introduces the absent character of key absurdists plays (Ionescos The Bald Soprano and Becketts Godot) to a setting where they have to finally confront contemporary audiences. Other absurdist characters (Fando from Fando y Lis, and a rhinoceros) also contribute to the eventual confrontation between Wkipedia and the Bald Soprano. Context of the publication The play was shortlisted for an international theatre competition and was first performed by Taetro (Chiclana de la Frontera, Spain), which also published the script of the play in an anthology. This entry corresponds to the published script of the play.
