Abstract
A study of the life and work of Melbourne artist Linda Marrinon. The book traces Marrinon's early engagement with figurative art, pop culture and post-punk music as inspirations for her art. It considers Marrinon's later, historically-engaged painting and sculpture in light of postmodern models of appropriation art and her study of 19th models of repetition, copying and seriality as creative practice.
