Abstract
Everyone enjoys a good magic trick. This is the kind of spectacle astronomers attend when they "close the correction loop" of the adaptive optics system that equips some telescopes. The image of a cosmic object, initially blurred, then becomes very sharp and rich in new details. Thanks to this technique, the observation instruments compensate for the disturbances caused by the turbulence of the atmosphere. This tool has been revolution in the field of astronomy.
