Abstract
Lustre glaze research. Solo exhibition of 38 art works in ceramics. The continued research and development of lustre glazes. The later research being on the length of reduction cycles and researching the temperature at which this takes place. The findings showed that in the 20 degree Celsius range from 700c to 720c a window of variation takes place transitioning from gloss lustre to matt crystalline lustre surface. Predominately using sliver as the metal to reduce this effect, and to create colours of light. The qualities of these lustres can be seen in the first light of sunrise and the last light at sunset, the afterglow that the work draws upon.
