Abstract

There is now firm evidence that the global climate has changed over the past century and will continue to change throughout the 21st century in response to continued growth in global greenhouse gas emissions. There is growing evidence that current changes in climate are linked to both human activities and natural variability and that current patterns of change in Australia (particularly temperature but also rainfall) are consistent with those projected.
