Abstract

We measure the finite temperature restoration of chiral symmetry on 123·6 and 103·6 lattices in quenched QCD. The scaling behaviour is consistent with the scaling of established measurements of the string tension and deconfinement temperature, and inconsistent with asymptotic scaling for β{less-than or approximate}6.0. We also give evidence to suggest that the deconfining and chiral symmetry restoring temperatures are not coincident.
