Menolak Diam, Menolak Dusta (Refuse Silence, Rejecting Lie)

AFTER HAPPING THE WORLD two years ago with the brilliant work of The Act of Killing (or Butcher, in its official translation), late August new film director Joshua Oppenheimer and his 'Anonymous' partner from Indonesia launched their first movie premiere, The Look of Silence , or Quiet. As Butcher , the film centered on the efforts of some Indonesians in North Sumatra to recall and tell about the massacre of fellow citizens in 1965-1966. Both films are compiled from one documentation work package in the same time period and in the same region.
