    Abstract

The synthesis of the molybdenum thiocarbamoyl complexes was presented. The complexes were obtained from the reactions of [Mo(η2-SCNMe 2)Cl(CO)2(tmeda)] and Na[HnB(mt) 4-n] or via reactions of the salts Na[Mo(CO)2+n{H nB(mt)4-n}] with Me2NCSCl. For n=2, the complex displayed agostic B-H-Mo coordination in solution and the solid state. The B-H hydrogen atoms, were located and refined freely to provide B-H(1) and Mo-H(1) separations of 1.22(4) and 1.92(4) Å respectively.
