Abstract

Mongol Mountain Journey is young adult fiction book, set in the thirteenth century during the time of Chinggis Khan. This historical and ethnographic-based book explores the connections between beings, both human and other animal, through the eyes of a young herding boy and how bonds can be strongly symbolic and very real.

This engaging book was written by Director of the ANU Mongolia Institute and CHL academic Dr Natasha Fijn, with wonderful illustrations by Mongolian artist, Zolboo Gansukh.
