Abstract
This essay presents several books regarding the study of trauma. These include the book World Memory edited by Jill Bennett, which is a collection of essays on trauma, memory and witnessing in global contexts. The book analyzes, effect on Euro-American events and experiences particularly in Holocaust. It also notes the book Nervous Condition by Tsitsi Dangarembga, which explores Tambudzai Sigauke's childhood and early adolescence. The book also explores the death of her brother at the Mission school, of which her uncle is the headmaster. It also mentions another book by Tsitsi Dangarembga called The Book of Not, which explores a young black girl's childhood struggle experiences in making an independent life for herself in the decade, after national independence in Rhodesia, Africa.
