Abstract

Mountain is a thrilling filmic collaboration between director Jennifer Peedom and the Australian Chamber Orchestra, directed by Richard Tognetti. The film is a dramatic interweaving of chamber music with footage of mountain landscapes. The soundtrack allows a reliving of the thrill of the film, with the ACO's characteristic sensitivity and dexterity. The album brings together music by Grieg, Pï¿½rt and Sculthorpe, as well as some of Tognetti's own compositions, in a collection as dramatic and diverse as the landscape that inspired it.
