    Abstract

In this paper we present a Texas Instrument's TMS320C6713- DSP based multi-tone FSK modem, designed for testing signal processing algorithms, channel measurements and performance analysis of digital receivers. The receiver is designed with a symbol timing synchronisation algorithm at the base band, and operates at the FM-band with a carrier frequency of 87.3MHz. The modem operates at a data rate of 2.88kbps with a sampling frequency of 96kHz. Here, we present the design and architecture of the hardware and the software of the modem, and some results on the performances of the DSP test-bed.
