    Abstract

The propagation of a monochromatic scalar electric field in a bulk nonlinear Kerr-like medium with intensity dependent refractive index was considered to study an optical analog of Aharonov-Bohm effect. The scattering of a dark-soliton stripe by optical vortices was studied analytically and numerically to observe the scattered wave for larger wave amplitudes. Different values of stripe amplitude were considered to investigate the nonlinear regime of vortex stripe scattering. The analysis suggested that the primary vortex underwent a large shift from its initial position after scattering.
