Nonlinear fishnet metamaterials based on liquid crystal infiltration

    Abstract

    We study experimentally the nonlinear properties of fishnet metamaterials infiltrated with liquid crystals. We find that moderate laser powers result in significant changes of their optical transmission, being further tunable by bias electric field.
