Nonlinear localized modes in photonic crystal waveguides

    Abstract

    The nonlinear localized modes in photonic crystal waveguides were studied. The stability of such a localized mode was determined by the slope of dependence Q(w). It was found that the mode is stable when the slope is negative and unstable otherwise.
