Nonlinear photonics with resonant optical structures

Abstract

We review the recent advances in nonlinear metaphotonics of nanoparticles and metasurfaces empowered by optical resonances. We demonstrate a giant enhancement of the second-harmonic signal generated from silicon metasurfaces at guided-mode lattice resonances and quasi-bound states in the continuum.
