    Abstract

First-principles calculations for nonlinear light propagation in laser-irradiated silicon thin films unveiled physical mechanisms determining properties of HHG in reflected and transmitted waves. Frequency-resolved analysis of light pulses identified regions in the film generating high-order harmonics.
