Abstract
Oi Oi Oi is a group exhibition that presents a series of individual responses to, and perspectives on, the Australian landscape. It is not an exhibition designed to explore the definition of landscape established by dictionary.com as a section or expanse of rural scenery, usually extensive, that can be seen from a single viewpoint. I can also advise that it is not an exhibition that presents a process in which the appearance of an area of land will be improved through the planting of trees, shrubs or grass. Alternatively, Oi Oi Oi is a multidisciplinary representation of the Australian landscape; a selection of works that engage with a spectrum of social, political and environmental viewpoints. From cricketers on used mattress mounds to the profanity of Nick Caves t-shirt, Oi Oi Oi is an exhibition which invites audiences to look closer and to reconsider our interactions with and impact on country.
