    Abstract

    Following on from their sold-out and widely critically acclaimed performance in 2018, Omega Ensemble’s wind players presented another summer afternoon of diverse wind quintets in the Sydney Opera House Utzon room. From the French neo-classicism of Damase to an early work of Berio involving characterised narration, to the recently rediscovered and restored Quintet by Holst, and a premiere of a new work by Russo-Canadian clarinettist and composer Airat Ichmouratov.
