    Abstract

    We introduce a concept of universal optical simulators based on experimentally accessible planar waveguide arrays, where one-dimensional light evolution exactly replicates nonlinear defect state dynamics governed by arbitrary multi-dimensional Hamiltonians, including topologically nontrivial ring configurations. © 2016 OSA
