    Abstract

A revived Australia-France partnership opens the door for cooperation in a broader web of Indo-Pacific relations, including among Australia, France and India. • The three countries can work together to facilitate regional cooperation, especially in the Indian Ocean. • This trilateral partnership should go beyond traditional security and focus on global threats in areas such as the environment, disaster management and transnational crime.
