    Abstract

Abstract An astronaut is deshibernated in a remote space scientific station orbiting Neptune. He discovers that the two assistant robots have taken control of the station following the apparent suicide of the other human posted there. He also discovers that the space-train that last visited the station has left some Schrodinger cats which are reproducing at an alarming rate. When he begins having hallucinations he first believed them to be due to a macro quantum entanglement of his brain with the conscience of his dead colleague. Later he deduces, with the assistance of the station IAs, that they are induced by an extrasolar intelligence orbiting the planet. Context of the publication The short story was included in a special number of the science fiction magazine Próxima devoted to madness. There was, in a previous issue of the journal a call for stories on the topic, and this story was short-listed for this special number.
