Abstract
In this article the author redefines three main paradoxes inherent in attorney discipline as the paradox of impunity, the paradox of injustice and the paradox of consumerism. He believes that attorney discipline produces widespread impunity and the consequences of punitive attorney discipline is raising the high stakes for lawyers who are elite professionals with much to lose. He also comments that restorative justice dissolves the bifurcation of impunity versus severe punishment.
