    Abstract

    We demonstrate a coupled-waveguide platform which realizes classical optical simulation of quantum photon-pair generation through spontaneous parametric down-conversion in a nonlinear lossy waveguide. The photon-pair creation vs. the phase mismatch and loss are experimentally mapped.
