Abstract

In this article we examine an approximation to the carrier-borne epidemic process with both susceptible and carrier immigrations. It is shown that the approximate susceptible stochastic process is Poisson, with a mean equal to the deterministic number of susceptibles. ï¿½ 2008 Elsevier B.V. All rights reserved.
