Positron impact ionization of hydrogen and the noble gases

    Abstract

    Based on our previous experience with positron ionization, we propose a simple distorted-wave model for this process and apply it to the ionization of atomic and molecular hydrogen as well as the noble gases. The advantage of having a single method that produces reliable results in all cases is discussed.
