    Abstract

As part of the Australian Research Council Project Heritage in the Limelight: The Magic Lantern in Australia and the World I have informally collaborated with a series of contemporary artists, musicians and performers at the Australian National University. Here I present two case studies of artists whose experiments point the way for further research.
