Abstract

We report the fabrication of rib waveguides in As-S(-Se) glasses by hot embossing. Optical losses between 0.24dB/cm in As₂₄S₃₈Se₃₈ and 0.5dB/cm in As_sS₃ were obtained with nonlinear parameters as high as ≈9W^-1m^-1.
