    Abstract

    Australia needs to be prepared for the possibility that Beijing will further discourage Chinese students from studying in Australia. In April 2020, Chinas Ambassador to Australia explicitly mentioned four exports wine, beef, tourism and education as ones that Chinese consumers might choose to avoid.
