    Abstract

    The aim of this chapter is to: (1) propose a structure for the psychogastroenterology consultation, (2) highlight key condition-specific questions, (3) explain how to match patients with the correct intervention based on psychological characteristics, and (4) provide an overview of the currently available questionnaires that can be utilised in cohorts with gastrointestinal (GI) problems to assess multiple psychosocial domains (e.g., GI symptoms, anxiety, depression, stress, and quality of life).
